Temporary protection: sources checked on 1 October 2026IND
From 5 August 2026, new applicants with military obligations in Ukraine must in principle show that they have fulfilled them or are exempt. IND says the condition does not apply to people already under temporary protection in the EU before that date, or to people joining family members under temporary protection. IND assesses individual eligibility.
